Wish List

I have spent many hours over the past few months researching and visiting various urban, suburban and country...

and I have decided that I very much want one.

And to inhabit it, two of these:

Isa Browns

and two or three of these:

Buff Orpington

The coop I like the best, pictured above, is made of reclaimed materials (pallets to be exact). If any of you have any building experience following plans or know of someone who does, please speak up!

If anyone has experience raising urban chickens I would be most grateful for the assistance or advice! Those who would like to be a part of this exciting and interesting project, please feel free to comment or contact me. The intent is to share this experience with others.

CAF Congrats

My sympathy, love and congratulations go out to my friend M, whose son D swears in to the Canadian Armed Forces today.

M, I pray that all your child's hopes and dreams come true as he takes this noble step towards the future he envisions.

You've seen the highs of Basic Training graduation and home comings and the lows of goodbyes and tearful phone calls. I wish I could find you a group as supportive as my AF Moms and Dads ~ but hey, you have me for support, and I certainly 'get it'!

So here's to you, Proud CAF Dad! Stand Tall!

Pinch of Brown Sugar
Green Beans

Hope so. It's in the oven right now!

Oh yeah, and I'm back from Virginia Beach - via Virginia, Washington, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. Drove home in a 12 hour solo road trip. :)
