My remembrance of you
Will never be altered
No matter how long
I'm left here alone
I'm left here alone
To live out my days
Still full of your grace
And my remembrance of you
Time paints a picture
And changes a season
Never to pass
The same way again
The same way again
Until the day when
I meet you in heaven
My beautiful friend.

what happened? is this a new occurance? Fly free at the bridge Riley, you were loved....
Lea, my husband and I have been involved in basset hound rescue for 8 years, we believe in the Rainbow bridge. If you have never heard of it, please let me know. its very comforting..
I'm with Tonjia...what happened to Riley? I'm so sorry...it's so terrible to lose a faithful friend :(
Riley, my dear friend Mark's dog, had very painful arthritis. It was time to let him have the relief he couldn't have here with us.
From the day I met Riley he was my possessive, slobbery, goofy friend and it was a love fest.
May he forever run and play in the Summerlands.
Lea, you have been TAGGED!!
check out my blog today for explanation. :-)
Lea (& Mark): Riley looks like an absolute sweetheart. I'm glad he's now painfree, but I'm very sorry for your loss.
Reading the comments about Riley warms any animal lover's heart. Thank you.... (Riley's bereaved family)
OMG! I was feeling so horrible to think that I did not know your dog was sick. I still feel bad for him, but not as horrible as I was. It was the right thing to do. A dog should not have to suffer when there is no reason for it. I am sorry for the loss of Riley but remember the good times.
Love the poem but so sorry to hear of the loss of your beleoved pet. we have 2 cats and 1 dog in our house and we well know how that loss can affect your life. I hope Riley is romping in heaven.
