Krysta says, "Make it grow!"

YAY! I did NOT get called in today. Instead of sweating my heart out, I spent my day feeding my soul ~ with my hands in the dirt.

Here's a pic of MOST of what I brought home (1st trip), ready for planting! Trip #2 added 4/8 packs of annuals, 3 cu. ft. of peat moss and a new pot. J and Ryan also brought home a big bag of mulch. The guys also helped dig the holes for the tree and lilac.

The PINK pot...

The PURPLE pot...

Both! :) (Don't tell the bunnies: the snake is plastic!)

Pansies out, Petunias in...

New lilac bush...

The new tree is in there somewhere!

The pansy's new home...

All in all....

1 Serviceberry tree
1 Lilac bush
1 Speedwell
1 Coneflower
1 Delphinium
5 Deep Fuscia Petunias
8 Dark Purple Petunias
5 Purple Alyssium
3 Dusty Millers
5 Pink Annuals (Mixed)
5 Purple Annuals (Mixed)
And a partridge in a pear tree!!
~~~~~
And now, as promised, my other garden oddity...
It's currently occupied by a family of chickadees. There's nothing funnier than watching them go in and out of it. Makes you want to sneeze!!
V titled this post: Props to anyone who knows where the quote comes from!
I have no clue LOL...I see you didn't have to work, except the pleasure of working outside! Everything looks beautiful and I got a great laugh out of the bird hangout!! Great garden addition!
I'm so jealous! I planted a lilac bush (my favorite flower and one that makes my soul smile) outside the front door of our house three years ago. The Sheriff's sale was on Friday...and on our last trip into the house to rescue stuff, I noticed that for the first time my lilac had bloomed. :( I'm glad you have one to make YOUR soul happy.
OMG.... you are a landscaping queen! I am not worthy, I am not worthy (I am bowing in praise here)
It is all beautiful Lea!
Stef, You are welcome here to share in the lilac bush ANY DAY!!!
Besides, I have your yellow chair. You can sit and enjoy the lilacs in comfort. I knew there was a reason you left it here!
Thanks Tonjia! No Queen here. It's my little paradise and I add a little more to it every year.
Now I need someone who's really skilled at SPLITTING plants to come help me! If I can relocate and spread to new areas (and make current ones bigger) without major investment in new perennials I'd be a very happy camper!
